This Privacy Policy describes how Capwave AI Inc. ("the Company," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit vc.capwave.ai (the "Website"), join our early-access list, or book a product walkthrough. Our founder-facing product at capwave.ai is governed by its own Privacy Policy. When the Capwave investor product itself launches, connecting your firm's accounts (such as email, calendar, or meeting transcripts) will be governed by product-level terms and privacy disclosures presented at onboarding — this policy covers the Website.
Information you provide. When you join the early-access list or contact us, we collect: your name; work email address; mobile phone number; firm name; role; fund size (optional); and your free-text answer about the tools your firm uses (optional). When you book a walkthrough through our scheduling provider, that provider collects your name, email, and answers to booking questions under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. As you navigate the Website we collect technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and interaction events (for example, button clicks and form submissions). We also record campaign attribution associated with your visit — UTM parameters, the referring page, and your landing page — and, if you arrived through a referral link, the referral code that brought you.
Cookies and similar technologies. The Website uses first-party analytics and session storage to operate the site and measure how it is used. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising on this Website.
We use the information we collect to: operate the early-access list and referral mechanics; contact you about your access by email and, with your consent, by text message; send occasional product updates by email, which you can opt out of at any time via the unsubscribe link in each message; select firms for private beta access based on the profile information you provide; present and improve the Website and measure which channels bring visitors; respond to your inquiries; enforce our Terms of Use; and comply with legal obligations.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified statistics from information collected on the Website — for example, the Capwave Index, which reports aggregate AI-readiness scores across many respondents. Published aggregates never identify you, your firm, or your individual answers, and we will not attempt to re-identify de-identified data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We do not use the information you submit on this Website to train machine-learning models.
If you provide your mobile number, you expressly consent to receive a limited number of transactional text messages about your access (for example, when your seat opens), which may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency is low; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. We do not send marketing text campaigns to the access list, and we do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Website: website hosting and database infrastructure; email delivery; SMS delivery; and scheduling (for walkthrough bookings). These providers are bound to use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information: to comply with any court order, law, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Use; if disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company or others; or in connection with a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition, in which case the successor is bound by this policy with respect to previously collected information.
Information you submit on this Website is held on the investor side of Capwave. It is not shared with, or visible to, the founder-facing Capwave product.
We retain early-access list information for as long as needed to operate the list and, if you become a customer, your account. Index quiz answers are retained with your list entry and, in aggregated de-identified form, for research and publication. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time using the contact below; de-identified aggregates are not affected by deletion because they do not identify you.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information; access and obtain a copy of it; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; request portability; and opt out of targeted advertising (which we do not currently conduct on this Website), sale (which we do not conduct), or certain profiling. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@capwave.ai with your request. We will verify your identity using the email address associated with your entry and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Depending on your state, you may also have the right to appeal a refusal by writing to the same address with "Appeal" in the subject line.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Capwave AI Inc. is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We process your data on the following legal bases: performance of steps at your request (operating the access list you joined and sending your Index readout), consent (text messages, which you may withdraw at any time by replying STOP), and legitimate interests (operating, securing, and measuring the Website in ways you would reasonably expect). Your data is processed in the United States; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with our service providers. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact privacy@capwave.ai.
The Website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your information, including encrypted storage and access controls. No transmission over the internet is fully secure, and any transmission is at your own risk.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
